Python and JavaScript anchor the top throughout, TypeScript climbs almost vertically as teams migrate off plain JavaScript, and the older workhorses - Ruby, PHP, Java, Scala - trade the long tail as fashions turn over. Because it is a relative stack you can see not just who leads but who is gaining: a band that widens year over year is a language whose demand is outpacing the field.
